Luxury medical aesthetics,
minutes from your resort
A visitor's guide to treatments during your stay — what suits a vacation, what is better before or after, and how to plan around your dates.
A medical practice, a few minutes from your room
Our clinic is located inside the Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows at 2780 Kekaa Drive, Shop 5, Lahaina, with free on-site parking. We are an independent medical practice: we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any hotel or resort. We simply happen to be a few minutes from most Kāʻanapali and Lahaina accommodations.
Most of our resort guests are on island for a week or two and want to look and feel their best while they are here — before a dinner reservation, a family photo session, a wedding, or a boat day. Because visits are short, we plan around your dates: same-day, no-downtime treatments while you are here, and anything that needs recovery time scheduled before you arrive or on a return trip.
This page is written for guests staying anywhere in West Maui — Kāʻanapali, Kapalua, Nāpili, Kahana and Lahaina. It covers which treatments suit a vacation, which are better planned before you fly or once you are home, how long the drive is from your resort area, and the questions we are asked most. Every treatment is performed by Stefanie Roberts, ARNP.
A simple planning guide by timing
The honest answer depends less on the treatment than on when you are here. Use this as a starting point, then tell us your dates and we will confirm what makes sense.
Perfect during your stay
Same-day, no downtime. Come in and go straight back to the beach, the pool, or dinner.
- Facial Treatments
Excellent during vacation. No downtime — perfect before dinner, a wedding, or family photos.
- IV Therapy
Excellent after travel and after outdoor adventures — and before returning to activities.
- Wellness Injections
Excellent during vacation. A few minutes, no downtime, and no change to your plans.
- Medical-Grade Skincare
Excellent any time — a routine you take home, chosen for Maui sun.
- Spray Tan
Excellent during vacation. Best 1–2 days before an event, with no sun needed.
Better before your vacation
Results take up to two weeks to settle, so these are best treated before you fly — or in your very first days if you are here a while.
- Botox & Dysport Wrinkle Treatments
Best scheduled before arriving in Maui when preparing for an event — results take up to two weeks to settle.
Better after returning home
These need days out of direct sun and ocean water, or ongoing follow-up. We are glad to plan them with you for home or a return trip.
- Microneedling
Generally better after returning home — skin needs several days out of direct sun and ocean water.
- Medical Weight Loss
Better started at home — this is an ongoing medically supervised program with regular follow-up.

All facials are performed by licensed aestheticians Stephanie Evans and Keala Lono, under the medical direction of Stefanie Roberts, ARNP. Same-day and next-day appointments are often available — call or text us from your resort.

Nō Ka ʻOi Aesthetics is an independent medical practice — we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any hotel or resort. We are simply close to where you are staying.
Kahului Airport (OGG) is roughly 45 minutes away, so most guests come to us after they have settled in rather than on the drive over.

Choose by the moment, not the menu
- 01
Just arrived
Start the trip feeling like yourself. Wellness injections take about fifteen minutes, and IV nutrient therapy is our most requested arrival-day reset. If you have a Maui event later in the week, this is also the moment to talk timing with us.
- 02
After a long flight
Cabin air, a time-zone change and a travel day leave skin dry and energy low. IV nutrient therapy rehydrates in about 45–60 minutes in a quiet room; a HydraFacial afterward restores the glow travel takes away.
- 03
After golf, hiking or a boat day
Sun, salt water and full days outdoors are dehydrating. IV nutrient therapy helps you recover for tomorrow, and a HydraFacial clears out congestion from sunscreen and sweat with nothing to recover from.
- 04
Before family photos
Book your HydraFacial one to three days ahead so skin is calm, even and luminous on camera. A spray tan the day before adds warmth without sun damage.
- 05
Before a sunset dinner
A same-day HydraFacial or wellness injection fits neatly into an afternoon. Come in, then go straight to your reservation — no redness to plan around.
- 06
Before flying home
Take the Maui glow with you. We select medical-grade skincare for your skin and the climate you are returning to, and plan anything with recovery time — microneedling or neuromodulators — for home or your next trip.
Not sure where your dates leave room? See preparing for your appointment or call and we will plan around your itinerary.
Good to know
More in our FAQs, medical glossary, preparing for your appointment and aftercare guide.
Are you located inside a resort?+
Our clinic is located inside the Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows at 2780 Kekaa Drive, Shop 5, Lahaina. We are an independent medical practice and are not affiliated with or operated by any hotel or resort.
Can I be treated while I am on vacation in Maui?+
Yes. HydraFacial, IV nutrient therapy, wellness injections and spray tan have no downtime, so you can return to the beach or dinner the same day. Microneedling is generally better after you return home.
How far are you from Kāʻanapali?+
We are on Kekaa Drive in Lahaina, minutes from most Kāʻanapali resorts and condos, with free on-site parking.
Can I swim or sunbathe after treatment?+
After HydraFacial and injectables we ask for gentle sun care and daily broad-spectrum SPF. After microneedling, avoid direct sun and ocean water for several days.
Which treatments have no downtime?+
HydraFacial, IV nutrient therapy, wellness injections, spray tan and medical-grade skincare all have no downtime. You can go from your appointment straight to the beach, the pool or a dinner reservation the same day.
Should I schedule before I arrive or after I get home?+
Same-day treatments — HydraFacial, IV nutrient therapy, wellness injections, spray tan — are ideal while you are here. Dysport is best treated about two weeks before an event, so before you arrive if you have a Maui occasion, or early in a longer stay. Microneedling and medical weight loss are usually better started at home, where you can stay out of sun and ocean water or keep regular follow-up.
How far in advance should I book my appointment?+
We are a single-provider boutique practice, so vacation weeks and holidays fill early. Booking a week or two ahead of your dates gives you the best choice of times; if your trip is sooner, call (808) 515-9342 and we will fit you in where we can.
What should I bring or do before my appointment?+
Come with clean skin if you can, bring the products and medications you are using, and let us know what you have planned that week — a wedding, a photo session, a boat day. Our preparing for your appointment guide covers this in detail.
Answered in full
The longer answers behind the questions above — timing, downtime, ocean and beach guidance, and where to start if this is your first treatment.
- Can I get a HydraFacial during my vacation?
Yes. A HydraFacial is one of the best treatments to have while you are on Maui because it has no downtime — you can go from your appointment to the beach, the pool or a dinner reservation the same day.
Skin looks brighter and more even immediately, which is why guests book it before a sunset dinner, a wedding, or a family photo session. Plan on 60 to 90 minutes depending on the level you choose, and wear a broad-spectrum mineral SPF 30 or higher afterward, since freshly exfoliated skin is more sun-sensitive.
- Which treatments have no downtime?
HydraFacial, IV nutrient therapy, wellness injections, spray tan and medical-grade skincare all have no downtime. Dysport has essentially none either — a few tiny marks that settle within an hour — as long as you stay upright and skip strenuous exercise for the rest of the day.
Microneedling is the exception. Expect skin to look pink, like a mild sunburn, for one to three days, with sun and ocean water off the table during that window.
- Can I go to the beach after treatment?
After a HydraFacial, IV nutrient therapy, wellness injections or Dysport, yes — the same day, with broad-spectrum mineral SPF 30 or higher and a hat during peak hours. Rinse salt water off afterward and keep skin moisturized.
After microneedling, wait. Stay out of direct sun and out of the ocean and pools for at least three to five days, until the skin barrier has fully closed. After a spray tan, wait about eight hours before swimming so the color can finish developing.
- Should I schedule before I arrive or after I return home?
Book same-day treatments here and save recovery treatments for home. HydraFacial, IV nutrient therapy, wellness injections and spray tan are ideal during your stay; microneedling and medical weight loss are usually better started at home, where you can stay out of sun and ocean water or keep regular follow-up.
Dysport sits in the middle. It needs about two weeks to fully settle, so treat it before you travel if you have a Maui event, or early in a longer stay.
- How far in advance should I book my appointment?
A week or two ahead is ideal, and longer over holidays. We are a boutique practice with a single injector, so vacation weeks fill early and the best times go first.
If your trip is sooner than that, call or text (808) 515-9342 — we hold room for same-week requests where we can, especially for IV nutrient therapy and wellness injections.
- Which treatments are best after a long flight?
IV nutrient therapy is the single best treatment after a long flight, followed by a wellness injection if you want an energy or immune boost in fifteen minutes. Cabin air is extremely dry, and a five-hour-plus flight plus a time-zone change leaves most people dehydrated before their vacation starts.
If travel has also left your skin dull or congested, a HydraFacial the next day restores the glow. Many guests book both — an IV on arrival day, a facial mid-trip.
- Can IV therapy help me feel refreshed after traveling?
Yes — that is our most requested reason for it. IV nutrient therapy delivers fluids, electrolytes and vitamins straight into the bloodstream, bypassing digestion, so rehydration is faster and more complete than drinking water alone.
Most guests notice they feel clearer and less sluggish before the infusion is finished. Plan on 45 to 60 minutes in a quiet treatment room, and no downtime afterward — sightseeing, dinner and beach time are all fine.
- Which IV is best after travel?
A hydration-focused infusion with electrolytes and B vitamins is the usual choice after a flight, with vitamin C and glutathione added when you want immune or brightening support as well.
We choose the formulation with you at your appointment based on how you feel, what you have planned that week, and your health history — not from a fixed menu.
- How long should I wait before swimming?
After a HydraFacial you can swim the same day, though we suggest waiting a few hours and rinsing afterward. After Dysport, wait until the following day. After a spray tan, wait about eight hours so the color finishes developing.
After microneedling, wait three to five days before ocean or pool water. Open micro-channels and untreated water are a poor combination, and chlorine and salt will both sting freshly treated skin.
- What helps after golf, hiking or a boat day?
IV nutrient therapy is the fastest recovery after a full day outdoors, because sun, wind and exertion dehydrate you more than most people realize on Maui.
A HydraFacial afterward clears the congestion that sunscreen, salt and sweat leave behind. Neither has downtime, so you can do both and still make a dinner reservation.
- What is best right before family photos?
A HydraFacial one to three days before the session, so skin is calm, even and luminous under Maui light rather than freshly stimulated.
A spray tan the day before adds warmth without sun damage, and IV nutrient therapy helps if travel or long days have caught up with the group. All three are no-downtime and work well as back-to-back appointments for several people.
- What happens during my first appointment?
Your first visit is a consultation before it is a treatment. We review your health history, medications and past treatments, look at your skin in natural light, talk through what is bothering you, and agree on a plan and a starting price before anything is booked.
If a treatment is appropriate the same day, we can often do it in that visit. If it is not — because of timing, medication, pregnancy or simply because something else would serve you better — we will say so. Allow a little extra time for paperwork and photos at a first appointment.
- Which treatment is best if I have never had aesthetic treatments before?
Start with a HydraFacial. It is non-invasive, comfortable, suits nearly every skin type, has no downtime, and shows a visible result the same day — which makes it the easiest way to see how we work before deciding on anything more.
From there, medical-grade skincare is the highest-value next step, and a neuromodulator such as Dysport is the usual first injectable, dosed conservatively so you can decide how much movement you want to keep.
- How do I know which service is right for me?
You do not have to know — that is what the consultation is for. Tell us what bothers you and what you have planned, and Stefanie will recommend the treatment that addresses it, including recommending less than you expected when that is the honest answer.
As a rough guide: HydraFacial and medical-grade skincare are for skin quality, glow and congestion; Dysport is for expression lines; microneedling is for texture, scarring and firmness; IV therapy and wellness injections are for energy, hydration and recovery.
- Who performs treatments at Nō Ka ʻOi Aesthetics?
All injectable and medical treatments are performed by Stefanie Roberts, ARNP, founder and medical director of Nō Ka ʻOi Aesthetics. HydraFacial and skin treatments are performed by our licensed aestheticians, Stephanie Evans and Keala Lono, under the same medical oversight.
This is a medical practice in a boutique setting, not a resort spa menu — one clinician plans your care, and the same team sees you at follow-up.
- Should I have microneedling or a HydraFacial?
Choose a HydraFacial for immediate glow, hydration and congestion, with no downtime. Choose microneedling to change the skin structurally — texture, scarring, pore size and firmness — over a series of treatments.
They are not competitors: most long-term plans use both, alternating HydraFacial for maintenance with a microneedling series once or twice a year. If you are on vacation, have the HydraFacial now and plan microneedling for home.
