Soften Fine Lines & Wrinkles with Botox or Dysport
Botox & Dysport Wrinkle Treatments — Soften fine lines and wrinkles with Botox or Dysport.
In plain language.
Neuromodulators are FDA-approved injectables that temporarily relax the muscles responsible for expression lines. As those muscles become less active, the lines created by repeated movement soften — while your natural expressions remain yours.
We lead with Dysport because it is Stefanie's (our owner and lead injector) preferred product for smooth, natural-looking results and a quick onset. Botox and Daxxify are also available if you prefer a brand you've used before or a longer-lasting option.
This is never about looking different. It's about looking rested and refreshed, with conservative dosing that supports natural expression rather than replacing it.
Natural results start with restraint.
The best neuromodulator treatment is rarely the most obvious one. We dose conservatively, treat the muscles that are actually creating the line, and leave your expressions intact. Building gradually is safer, looks better, and is easier to refine than reversing an overcorrection.

Natural results start with restraint
The best neuromodulator treatment is rarely the most obvious one. We assess how your face actually moves, dose conservatively, and treat only the muscles creating the line. Our goal is to soften expression while preserving expression — so people notice you look rested, not that you had something done.
Concerns this addresses.
Frown lines between the brows
Horizontal forehead lines
Crow's feet around the eyes
Bunny lines along the nose
Chin dimpling
Prevention of deeper etched lines
What you'll notice.
Conservative placement relaxes the pull of specific muscles without flattening your face.
Consistent treatment helps keep movement lines from etching permanently into the skin.
The goal is that people notice you look rested — not that you had something done.
Most appointments run 15–30 minutes with virtually no downtime.
Combine with HydraFacial, microneedling, or medical-grade skincare for a fuller plan.

- Small bumps or pinpoint redness settle quickly.
- Results begin appearing in 2–7 days and finish around one week.

- Wait until your provider clears you before ocean or pool swimming, snorkeling, or hot tubs.
- Hydrate more than you think you need to, especially after a day in the trade winds and sun.

Questions people ask about Botox & Dysport Wrinkle Treatments.
The questions we hear most before booking Botox & Dysport Wrinkle Treatments — answered in full, with links to the treatment details, definitions and guides behind each answer.
- Which treatments have no downtime?
HydraFacial, IV nutrient therapy, wellness injections, spray tan and medical-grade skincare all have no downtime. Dysport has essentially none either — a few tiny marks that settle within an hour — as long as you stay upright and skip strenuous exercise for the rest of the day.
Microneedling is the exception. Expect skin to look pink, like a mild sunburn, for one to three days, with sun and ocean water off the table during that window.
- Can I go to the beach after treatment?
After a HydraFacial, IV nutrient therapy, wellness injections or Dysport, yes — the same day, with broad-spectrum mineral SPF 30 or higher and a hat during peak hours. Rinse salt water off afterward and keep skin moisturized.
After microneedling, wait. Stay out of direct sun and out of the ocean and pools for at least three to five days, until the skin barrier has fully closed. After a spray tan, wait about eight hours before swimming so the color can finish developing.
- Should I schedule before I arrive or after I return home?
Book same-day treatments here and save recovery treatments for home. HydraFacial, IV nutrient therapy, wellness injections and spray tan are ideal during your stay; microneedling and medical weight loss are usually better started at home, where you can stay out of sun and ocean water or keep regular follow-up.
Dysport sits in the middle. It needs about two weeks to fully settle, so treat it before you travel if you have a Maui event, or early in a longer stay.
- How long should I wait before swimming?
After a HydraFacial you can swim the same day, though we suggest waiting a few hours and rinsing afterward. After Dysport, wait until the following day. After a spray tan, wait about eight hours so the color finishes developing.
After microneedling, wait three to five days before ocean or pool water. Open micro-channels and untreated water are a poor combination, and chlorine and salt will both sting freshly treated skin.
- Which treatments are best before a wedding?
A HydraFacial three to seven days before the wedding is the single best pre-event treatment, with IV nutrient therapy the day before for travel and late-night fatigue, and a spray tan one to two days out if you want warmth without sun.
Anything that builds — a microneedling series, medical-grade skincare, neuromodulators — belongs three or more months ahead, so dosing can be refined and results are fully settled by the day.
- How far in advance should I schedule Dysport before an event?
Two to four weeks before the event. Dysport starts working in two to three days and reaches its full effect in about a week, and that extra margin leaves time for a follow-up adjustment if anything needs refining.
If you have never had a neuromodulator before, schedule your first treatment three months out instead. First treatments are about finding your dose, and no one should be learning that in the week of a wedding.
- What should I avoid immediately before an event?
Avoid anything new, aggressive or unfamiliar in the final two weeks. That means no first-time injectables, no resurfacing or microneedling, no strong new actives such as retinoids or acids, and no waxing on the same day as a facial.
In the last 24 to 48 hours, skip alcohol and high-sodium meals so you are not puffy in photographs, keep sun exposure moderate, and stay hydrated. Familiar treatments you have had before — a HydraFacial, an IV — are the safe choices this close in.
- Which treatment is best if I have never had aesthetic treatments before?
Start with a HydraFacial. It is non-invasive, comfortable, suits nearly every skin type, has no downtime, and shows a visible result the same day — which makes it the easiest way to see how we work before deciding on anything more.
From there, medical-grade skincare is the highest-value next step, and a neuromodulator such as Dysport is the usual first injectable, dosed conservatively so you can decide how much movement you want to keep.
- Will I still look like myself?
Yes. Every plan here is built to keep you recognizable — conservative dosing, gradual change, and a review before we add anything. People should notice you, not your treatments.
With neuromodulators specifically, we treat lightly at a first visit and refine at a two-week follow-up rather than starting high. That is slower, and it is the reason our results read as rested rather than done.
- What is a neuromodulator?
A neuromodulator is an injectable that temporarily relaxes the specific muscles that create expression lines. Dysport, Botox and Daxxify are all neuromodulators; they differ in onset, spread and how long they last.
It does not fill or add volume — that is a dermal filler. Because the muscle simply moves less, the lines that movement creates soften over a few days and gradually return as the product wears off, usually over three to four months.
- Who performs treatments at Nō Ka ʻOi Aesthetics?
All injectable and medical treatments are performed by Stefanie Roberts, ARNP, founder and medical director of Nō Ka ʻOi Aesthetics. HydraFacial and skin treatments are performed by our licensed aestheticians, Stephanie Evans and Keala Lono, under the same medical oversight.
This is a medical practice in a boutique setting, not a resort spa menu — one clinician plans your care, and the same team sees you at follow-up.
Good to know.
Do you offer Botox, or only Dysport?+
We offer Botox, Dysport and Daxxify. Dysport is Stefanie's preferred neuromodulator for most guests because of how smoothly it settles and how natural it looks, but Botox and Daxxify are absolutely used when they suit you better. We decide together at your consultation.
What's the difference between Dysport, Botox and Daxxify?+
All three are neuromodulators that relax the muscles behind expression lines. Dysport spreads a little more softly and typically shows results in 2–3 days. Botox is the long-established option many guests already know. Daxxify is formulated to last longer, which suits people who want fewer visits.
Which one is right for me?+
That depends on your facial movement, how you have responded to treatment in the past, how long you want results to last, and what you have planned. It is a clinical decision Stefanie makes with you — not something you need to figure out before you arrive.
Will I still look like myself?+
Yes. Our conservative approach supports your natural expression — you'll simply look more rested and refreshed.
How long do results last?+
Most guests enjoy results for approximately 3–4 months with Dysport or Botox. Daxxify is formulated to last longer for many people.
How soon will I see results?+
Results typically begin appearing within 2–3 days, with full results in about one week.
Can this be combined with a facial treatment?+
Yes — a neuromodulator and a HydraFacial pair beautifully for a refreshed, natural look.
Is it painful?+
Most clients describe it as a small pinch. Treatment is quick — about 20–30 minutes.
