Good questions
This page is the index. Every question we are asked is answered somewhere on this site — on the treatment page, the visitor guide, the preparation or aftercare guide — and collected here so you can find it in one place.

Getting started
What should I expect at my first appointment?+
Your first visit is a relaxed, unhurried conversation. We'll discuss your goals, review your skin and health history, and build a personalized plan together — no pressure to book any treatment on the spot.
How do I know which treatment is right for me?+
You don't have to. That's our job. During your consultation, Stefanie will honestly recommend what serves your goals — even if that means recommending less than you expected.
Do you offer consultations?+
Yes. Every new guest starts with a complimentary consultation. It's the best way to meet Stefanie, ask questions, and decide if we're the right fit for you.
How do I schedule an appointment?+
Use the Book button anywhere on the site, call us, or send an email. We usually reply the same day.
Booking & policies
What payment methods do you accept?+
We accept all major credit cards, HSA/FSA cards where applicable, and cash. Full pricing is shared before any treatment — we believe in price transparency. HydraFacial starts at $289 for the Signature (60 min), $315 for the Deluxe (75 min), and $375 for the Nō Ka ʻOi Platinum (90 min). Every price on our menu is a starting price, and we confirm your total before we begin.
What is your cancellation policy?+
We ask for 24 hours notice on cancellations so we can offer the time to another guest. Late cancellations may be subject to a fee.
Do you offer memberships?+
Membership details are coming soon. We're building a program around routine care and long-term skin health — reach out and we'll share the details as soon as they're final.
Treatments
Can treatments be combined?+
Often, yes. Many guests pair a HydraFacial with Dysport, or IV therapy with a facial. We'll always sequence treatments in the way that serves your skin and comfort best.
Will I still look like myself?+
Yes. Our approach is conservative and natural — you'll always look like more of yourself, not less. People should notice you, not your treatments.
How much downtime should I plan?+
Most services have zero downtime — ideal while you're enjoying Maui. Microneedling and deeper treatments may have 24–48 hours of pink skin.
Questions from every treatment page.
Every question we answer on an individual treatment page is collected here too. Unfamiliar terms are defined in our medical glossary, and recovery is covered in our aftercare guide.
Facial Treatments
Full treatment pageWhich facial should I book?+
Signature HydraFacial for a classic monthly glow, Jet Lag Reset after a long flight, Mini Glow for a quick refresh, Maui Face Lift to lift and sculpt before an event, and BioRePeel when tone, texture, acne or pigmentation are the concern. If you are unsure, book the Signature and we will adjust in the room.
How long does a facial take?+
45 minutes for the Jet Lag Reset and Mini Glow, 60 minutes for the Signature HydraFacial and Maui Face Lift, up to 90 minutes for the Nō Ka ʻOi Platinum.
Is there any downtime?+
None. Most guests return immediately to work, the beach, dinner, or other activities — BioRePeel® included.
How often should I have a facial?+
Monthly is ideal to maintain healthy, radiant skin. BioRePeel® is best as a series of four, performed every 7–14 days.
Can I wear makeup afterward?+
Yes — though many guests love the glow and skip it.
Can I combine a facial with Botox or Dysport?+
Yes. Many guests pair them for a refreshed, natural look.
Is a HydraFacial safe for sensitive skin?+
Yes. HydraFacial is gentle enough for nearly every skin type, and we adjust exfoliation and boosters to your skin.
What is best before a wedding or photos?+
A HydraFacial or Maui Face Lift 3–7 days before is ideal. Nothing new or aggressive inside two weeks of the date.
Botox & Dysport Wrinkle Treatments
Full treatment pageDo you offer Botox, or only Dysport?+
We offer Botox, Dysport and Daxxify. Dysport is Stefanie's preferred neuromodulator for most guests because of how smoothly it settles and how natural it looks, but Botox and Daxxify are absolutely used when they suit you better. We decide together at your consultation.
What's the difference between Dysport, Botox and Daxxify?+
All three are neuromodulators that relax the muscles behind expression lines. Dysport spreads a little more softly and typically shows results in 2–3 days. Botox is the long-established option many guests already know. Daxxify is formulated to last longer, which suits people who want fewer visits.
Which one is right for me?+
That depends on your facial movement, how you have responded to treatment in the past, how long you want results to last, and what you have planned. It is a clinical decision Stefanie makes with you — not something you need to figure out before you arrive.
Will I still look like myself?+
Yes. Our conservative approach supports your natural expression — you'll simply look more rested and refreshed.
How long do results last?+
Most guests enjoy results for approximately 3–4 months with Dysport or Botox. Daxxify is formulated to last longer for many people.
How soon will I see results?+
Results typically begin appearing within 2–3 days, with full results in about one week.
Can this be combined with a facial treatment?+
Yes — a neuromodulator and a HydraFacial pair beautifully for a refreshed, natural look.
Is it painful?+
Most clients describe it as a small pinch. Treatment is quick — about 20–30 minutes.
Microneedling
Full treatment pageDoes microneedling hurt?+
A topical numbing cream keeps treatment comfortable — most clients describe it as very tolerable.
How many treatments will I need?+
Most clients see best results with a series of treatments spaced several weeks apart.
How much downtime is there?+
Expect redness similar to a mild sunburn for 24–72 hours.
When will I see results?+
Gradual improvement over several weeks as your body builds new collagen.
Can microneedling be combined with HydraFacial?+
Yes — many clients alternate the two as part of a long-term skin health plan.
Is microneedling safe for all skin types?+
Microneedling is safe for most skin types. We'll confirm at your consultation.
Medical Weight Loss
Full treatment pageDo you offer GLP-1 medications?+
Yes, when medically appropriate. We evaluate every client individually.
How long is the program?+
Most clients see meaningful change over 3–6 months, with lifelong maintenance.
Is this covered by insurance?+
We are cash-pay and provide receipts you can submit.
IV Therapy
Full treatment pageHow long does IV Therapy take?+
Most infusions run 45–60 minutes.
Which IV should I choose?+
We'll recommend the formulation that best supports your goals during your consultation.
Does IV Therapy hurt?+
Just a small pinch to start the IV — most clients relax comfortably throughout.
How often can I receive IV Therapy?+
Frequency depends on your goals and health — we'll build a plan together.
Is IV Therapy safe?+
Yes. Every treatment is provided by licensed medical professionals under medical supervision.
Can I combine IV Therapy with other services?+
Yes — many clients pair IV Therapy with HydraFacial or wellness injections.
Wellness Injections
Full treatment pageWhich injections do you offer?+
Hydroxocobalamin (vitamin B12), glutathione, NAD+ in 50, 75 and 100 mg doses, vitamin D3, and MICC lipotropic support. We'll recommend the right option after reviewing your goals and history.
Why an injection instead of a supplement?+
Intramuscular injections bypass the digestive system, so absorption isn't limited by gut health, stomach acid or medications. One injection can also replace a daily-pill habit that's easy to abandon.
How often should I come in?+
It depends on the injection and your goals — B12 is commonly every two to four weeks, vitamin D often once a month, NAD+ and glutathione as part of a short series or ongoing maintenance. We'll give you an honest cadence.
Does it hurt, and is there downtime?+
The injection takes seconds. Mild soreness at the site is normal and there's no downtime — you can swim, work out and go about your day right away.
Are they safe?+
Yes. Every injection is reviewed against your medications and medical conditions, and administered by a licensed nurse under ARNP medical direction.
Do I need labs first?+
Not always, but bring recent labs if you have them. If we think a lab or a visit with your physician should come first, we'll tell you.
Can I combine injections with IV therapy or a facial?+
Yes — injections are commonly added to an IV visit, a HydraFacial, or a weight-loss check-in on the same appointment.
Do they replace nutrition?+
No. Injections support a healthy lifestyle, sleep and nutrition — they don't replace them.
Medical-Grade Skincare
Full treatment pageWhy medical-grade skincare?+
Medical-grade formulations use clinically proven ingredients at effective concentrations to genuinely change how skin behaves.
What brands do you carry?+
Skinbetter Science and Plated. Both lines are chosen for clinically proven formulations rather than trends, and we'll recommend only what's right for your skin.
Who can I see for a skincare consultation?+
Consultations are available with Stefanie Roberts, ARNP, Stephanie Evans, and Keala Lono.
How soon will I see results?+
Consistent use creates healthier, brighter skin over time — typically visible within 4–6 weeks.
Can I keep my current products?+
Often, yes. Bring your current products or a list to your consultation and we'll build from there.
Spray Tan
Full treatment pageHow long does a spray tan appointment take?+
About 30 minutes.
How long will my tan last?+
Typically 7–14 days, depending on your skin and aftercare.
What's in the solution?+
Skin-supportive ingredients including peptides, CoQ10, and hyaluronic acid.
Do you carry aftercare?+
Yes — aftercare products and face tan water are available to help extend your glow.
Who performs spray tans?+
Tara Hayden, owner of Kaanapali Kissed and spray tan specialist.
How do I book?+
Spray tans are booked directly with Kaanapali Kissed using the booking link on this page.
Questions from each journey.
Planning around a vacation, living here year-round, or preparing for a wedding raises different questions. Our West Maui visitor guide covers timing, drive times from the resorts, and what to book while you are on island.
Resort Guests
Full guideAre you located inside a resort?+
Our clinic is located inside the Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows at 2780 Kekaa Drive, Shop 5, Lahaina. We are an independent medical practice and are not affiliated with or operated by any hotel or resort.
Can I be treated while I am on vacation in Maui?+
Yes. HydraFacial, IV nutrient therapy, wellness injections and spray tan have no downtime, so you can return to the beach or dinner the same day. Microneedling is generally better after you return home.
How far are you from Kāʻanapali?+
We are on Kekaa Drive in Lahaina, minutes from most Kāʻanapali resorts and condos, with free on-site parking.
Can I swim or sunbathe after treatment?+
After HydraFacial and injectables we ask for gentle sun care and daily broad-spectrum SPF. After microneedling, avoid direct sun and ocean water for several days.
Which treatments have no downtime?+
HydraFacial, IV nutrient therapy, wellness injections, spray tan and medical-grade skincare all have no downtime. You can go from your appointment straight to the beach, the pool or a dinner reservation the same day.
Should I schedule before I arrive or after I get home?+
Same-day treatments — HydraFacial, IV nutrient therapy, wellness injections, spray tan — are ideal while you are here. Dysport is best treated about two weeks before an event, so before you arrive if you have a Maui occasion, or early in a longer stay. Microneedling and medical weight loss are usually better started at home, where you can stay out of sun and ocean water or keep regular follow-up.
How far in advance should I book my appointment?+
We are a single-provider boutique practice, so vacation weeks and holidays fill early. Booking a week or two ahead of your dates gives you the best choice of times; if your trip is sooner, call (808) 515-9342 and we will fit you in where we can.
What should I bring or do before my appointment?+
Come with clean skin if you can, bring the products and medications you are using, and let us know what you have planned that week — a wedding, a photo session, a boat day. Our preparing for your appointment guide covers this in detail.
Maui Residents
Full guideDo you offer a Kamaʻāina rate?+
Yes. A resident rate is available with proof of Hawaiʻi residency — just ask when you book or arrive.
Is a membership worth it?+
If you plan to treat regularly — monthly HydraFacial, neuromodulators a few times a year, ongoing skincare — a membership keeps maintenance predictable. See membership information for current details.
Will injectables make me look done?+
Not the way we treat. We start conservatively, review your results, and adjust at follow-up so movement stays natural.
What is the best time of year for microneedling on Maui?+
Any time, as long as you can stay out of direct sun for several days afterward. Many residents schedule series in the lower-sun months and keep HydraFacial going year-round.
Weddings & Celebrations
Full guideHow far in advance of my wedding should I book?+
HydraFacial is ideal 3–7 days before. Neuromodulators such as Dysport should be at least two weeks out so results are fully settled. Microneedling needs a minimum of two weeks, and a series is best started three or more months ahead.
Can you treat my whole wedding party?+
Often, yes. HydraFacial and IV nutrient therapy work well for groups. Call or text us with your dates and party size and we will build a schedule.
What should I avoid right before the wedding?+
Anything new, aggressive, or unfamiliar. We do not recommend first-time injectables or resurfacing inside two weeks of an event.
What is best right before family photos?+
A HydraFacial 3–7 days out for even, luminous skin, and IV nutrient therapy if travel or long days have caught up with you.
